Hi, my name is Maple and I’m a gentle, sweet, quiet kitty.

When I first came into care, I was very timid and would hide behind everything, but with some time and love, I’m really starting to come out of my shell.

I’ve become more outgoing than my sister. My meow is soft and quiet, but I’ll still try my hardest to get your attention!

I have unique colour markings and my fur is short, very easy to maintain!

I’m great at using my litter box and I love my dry biscuits! I love to run around and have the zoomies but then I settle down and love to knead my bed to help me go to sleep!

I’ve grown used to having my sister with me and it would be amazing if we could be adopted together! We look alike too; it would be fun to guess which is which!

These gorgeous girls are in our last litter program and have just arrived in care. Their 2 mums will now be desexed as part of our last litter program so it's Last Litter for everyone including mum.

Tig has just joined the last litter program she gave birth to her 6 kittens yesterday unfortunately 1 of her bubs was born sleeping. Both mum and bubs are doing well.
As part of the last litter program mum will be desexed after her kittens are weaned at about 7-8 weeks old and they come into care.

We’ll be waiting until the kittens are 8-10 weeks old to get their vet work done and then they’ll be ready for viewings so watch the Mackay Animal Rescue Society Facebook page for their profiles, unfortunately no holds on these kittens, we need to make sure they grow up big and strong before they’re ready for new families! Watch this page for update photos!

It’s International Cat Day 2023

Today is all about celebrating our furry little friends and the love and joy they bring to our lives(but let's be honest, if your a cat owner, everyday is cat day and they won't let you forget it.

It was introduced as a way of raising awareness for the welfare of cats all around the world and how we can learn to help and protect them.

A great way of celebrating and supporting cats is to support cat rescues. Today is the perfect day to make a donation!
